The wife and I have been married 32 years. She was raised in a gear head family with 3 brothers. Tuesday eve we are going to install a headliner in my coronet. She offerd to help. She did half the hand blocking on it and had sprayed the 1st two coats of primer on it last week before I shot it I hope we make it through this headliner deal

Dump that FORD 370....
I have a 1987 Ford F 700 dump truck. It showing just over 40k miles, rust free, it's a pretty nice truck. Hoping to make friends I would like to repair the truck, keep it on hand. One can never tell when they might need a dump truck. It has the 370 engine, it runs fine, but shows water in the oil. All my local sources are say the intake gasket is probably bad. I don't know, but I don't want to get into a trap. What are your thoughts? Anyway to check and make sure what is wrong?

The District Attorney's Office says the charges against the man accused of firing shots at "Dog the Bounty Hunter" last month have been dropped. Hoang Nguyen was facing attempted homicide charges. It all started at 7:30 p.m. on April 21 at the Galley Apartments at 3617 E. Uintah. According to police, Colorado Springs bail bondsman Bobby Brown and TV personality Duane Chapman were attempting to execute a warrant. The original report said when Nguyen saw "Dog" approaching, he pulled out a gun and fired at least one shot. Sellers that offer Pickup Only-No Shipping
This is an open letter to all sellers that mat read this and if you are guilty of what I am referring to then you know who you are. Before I ride off into the sunset and away from ebay forever there has been one thing that has always bothered me, and it has to do with sellers of vehicle engines and transmissions that do not offer shipping and want you the buyer to drive across country to physically pick up and haul away whatever it is that you have purchased, ridicolous! Sellers, you do realize that by excluding any shipping of the item that you attempting to sell that you are limiting your potential buyers? That by listing an item and stating pickup only automatically causes me and I'm sure many others to just click off your ad and move onto to another sellers item. Perhaps if ebay can ever pull their heads out of the sand and get their ebay motors problems resolved they might look at having an entire section that is devoted to only those items and/or sellers that refuse to have any shipping, just make it their own little 'you come and get it' section, that way all of the other sections with items for sale would be a lot less cluttered, oh well just excuse me, I'm blowing off some steam, this has always been a pet peeve of mine, it sort of rings bells with being excluded and selective sales strategies, if a seller really only prefers to sell something locally and have someone come and pick it up then they should place their ads in the local paper or neighborhood bulletin board but then again what does it matter, with the way the new and improved ebay motors currently is, I will not be buying anything, anytime soon from anyone on ebay, moot point.

Need Advise On An Old Cadillac Fleetwood......
I have a 1994 Caddy Fleetwood, one of the last years for the big ones with the Corvette (good) engine.....I'm the 2nd owner and purchased it when it was only 2 years old/40,000 miles. Now it has 150,000 miles....I always maintained the engine pretty well (oil changes, etc). But I went through a divorce 5 years ago, and didn't have $$ to put into the car so it has several typical caddy problems, like windows not working, air messed up, dash panel cracked from weather, etc. And it is starting to show some light rust. I had the tranny rebuilt 1-1/2 years ago, only drove it 5,000 miles since then......and a couple of weeks ago, the tranny went AGAIN....UGH. The mechanic won't stand behind it (was only garanteed for 1 year).......I'm just SICK over the tranny going so soon (this is WHY I spent $1300 to have it REBUILT, as apposed to a USED one)......so I'm trying to decide if I should fix this tranny again, or try to find another 1994-96 Caddy with lower miles/better condition/etc .....plus, I'm picky and only want Black (in other words, trying to find a needle in a haystack........lol). I have been watching Ebay, and geez these cars are holding their value!! There was a wrecked one that just sold for $1,000. And there is one with only 30,000 miles that is currently at $7,000 and the reserve isn't even MET. Others with over 100,000 miles are still going for $5,000. My friend who buys/sells alot of cars, says I shouldn't put more $$ in this car, he thinks I could find this same car/better condition for cheap on Craig's List, but so far no luck. I also checked autotrader.com. The ones on Ebay seem to go pretty high dollar, and most are far away (I'm in PA)......I am SO scared of buying something sight unseen, having it shipped, etc. And 1/2 of me says I "know" what I have in my car, and worried that I might be buying a lemon.......ugh. So, trying to weigh the decision out. Any advise??

What causes an engine to smoke like this?
I was driving home though the mountians in western MD after delivering a car, and I was following a late model GMC pickup for a few miles. Speed was around 75 mph down the hills and I assume he was coasting because I was too. Everytime he got to the bottom of the hill I see a large puff of smoke as he got on the gas. There was no smoke while going up the hills as if there may be worn rings. What causes this?

Where did the GOOD motors menus go?
Several months ago (last year perhaps?) Ebay Motors used to have a VERY superior filtering scheme to what they have today. Is there a way to "turn on" that past or to somehow get the error ridden current release fixed? Whenever "searching in current results" it always goes back to the HIGHEST level, totally missing the goal of searching in results. Also, the filtering for searches changed significantly - now showing "ranges" of years, not individual years (and that new bar on the left works only some of the time). MOST of the "series" designations that Ebay has are wrong anyway: Land Rover, Volkswagen, BMW, Porsche...I could go on. PLEASE bring back the pure filtering

I have a scooter I would like to sell but I still have a loan on it. What is the rule about selling a vehicle while not holding the title "in hand"? As soon as I receive payment I can pay off loan and get the title. Can I sell the scooter this way and if so how much time do I have to transfer title to the new owner's name? Thank you.

I just wanted to thank you for your recomending {Legendary} restoration parts when I asked about them a few weeks ago. Not trying to do a comercial here but those guys are great. As allways I was running behind ordering parts and with a have it done date of 6 - 1 I called them 5 - 8 and talk to them about my seat covers I needed. They said prob be 5 ot 6 weeks. I told them or asked if there was anyway I could get them sooner and explained I was a dummy from Iowa and thought they would prob have a set on the shelf. Now here is were it gets good. The Legendary sales rep tells me if I skip them and order straight from their supplier I should be able to get them sooner. He gave me a phone # and contact name and told me good luck. I called the supplier and long story short the covers arrrived today {Sat.} and look great. No heat sealed seams all stiched , correct grain ect , there made in the USA {N. J.} and they fed exd them to me when done. No extra charge , just a thanks for your business note. $46.00 less than what Legendary told me. Yep thats right Legendary only makes a $46 markup on a full set of near $600 seat covers. I am tossing my yearone cat into the can. I have a new supplier. A company that will cut their own sale to help a guy out will have my business for a long time on what ever else we can use from them at our shop.

WHAT IS CAR WORTH ? 1969 ROADRUNNER CONVERTIBLE
I have a 1969 Roadrunner convertible that I am having to sell. I need to list it but I am not sure what my asking price should be. So far I got between $35,000-$43,000. It is in excellent condition. The only thing it needs is the upholstery could use some extra cushioning. There were only about 2200 of these cars made. Being a convertible definitely brings up the price. Any help with the little info I gave you would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

How to determine what part # belongs to what car
I have an old tail or trunk light, but don't know what kind of car or year of car it comes from. (Could be from the 40's or 50's) The car part # is CB-13518 II 1149302 DG (that's the metal part of the unit). The lens is glass and has the # CB 13529 and L. L. Co. 2622. Anyone have an idea??

Really! We mean it this time! Rush right down and buy a car! Link Appliance manufacturers now want their own rebate program to replace older appliances with newer, more energy efficient ones. From WSJ: US Program Will Offer Rebates For Household Appliances * By Bob Tita Of DOW JONES NEWSWIRES CHICAGO (Dow Jones)--Appliance manufacturers are counting on a "cash for clunkers"-type rebate program to revive slumping sales of refrigerators, washing machines and dishwashers. Beginning late this fall, federal rebates will be available for purchasers of high-efficiency household appliances, furnaces and air-conditioning systems. Congress authorized $300 million for the program earlier this year as part of the federal economic-stimulus bill. After seeing the recent surge in new-car orders attributed to the federally funded clunkers program, appliance industry executives are hoping to lure consumers back into appliance store showrooms with rebates that are expected to reach $200 on some types of appliances. "It's a good way for the consumer to get back into the marketplace," said J.B. Hoyt, director of governmental relations for Whirlpool Corp. (WHR), the world's largest producer of household appliances by revenue. "Clearly, anything that boosts business is good for us." Whirlpool has been pushing for such a program for years. The 2005 energy bill included an authorization for $300 million over six years for energy-efficiency rebates on appliances. That authorization was never funded, but in the 2009 stimulus bill, the entire $300 million was authorized. Appliances covered by the program include dishwashers, washing machines and refrigerators. They must carry Energy Star ratings, indicating they meet energy-efficiency standards set by the Environmental Protection Agency and Department of Energy. To qualify for rebates, buyers won't have to trade in older, less-efficient models, which is a key component of the car program. Appliances made by companies based overseas will be eligible for the rebates if they have the Energy Star label. In 2008, about 55% of newly produced major household appliances qualified for the Energy Star designation, according to the Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers in Washington. Whirlpool, Electrolux (ELUXY), General Electric Co. (GE) and other appliance companies are mired in severe sales slumps linked to the collapse of the U.S. home construction industry and prolonged by an economic recession that has damped consumers' interest in buying expensive durable goods. Policy on stating 'Clear Title'
eBAY should consider changing their requirements for sellers listing vehicles with statements of 'Clear Title'. Over the last several weeks of engaging in bids for used RV's and ensuing dialogue with some sellers, I have found that in fact they DO NOT actually have 'clear and conveyable titles' due to outstanding liens for these vehicles due to using the title as collateral to secure a loan of some type(i.e.; auto title loans, personal loans, etc.). The legal definition of a clear title is one that is free of any and all debtor liens or encumbrances and would be immediately conveyable by the seller to a new owner. This should be the case when stating a clear title at the time of listing an auction as opposed to selller waiting on a buyers money to satisfy any liens or encumbrances to make said title 'Clear and Conveyable'. A simple solution would be to make sellers aware that if stating 'Clear Title' they must in fact have possession of the legal title for said vehicle, clear of any and all encumbrances. On the other hand, if they have used the title as collateral to secure financing for said vehicle or for any other loan purposes where a bank or lending institution holds title ownership until said lien is paid in full then sellers should be given the choice to state a 'Clean and Conveyable' title. This way buyers will know in advance that at the time of winning an auction and preparing to take delivery, they will need to work with the seller and/or any current lien holder to ensure a speedy and uneventful transfer of said title to the new owner. I for one would be very upset to have traveled several hundreds of miles after winning an auction with CASH IN HAND, expecting a clear title transfer between only seller and buyer, to discover that I would now have to wait for the seller to use MY money to clear all liens in order to convey that so-called 'Clear Title'. This also becomes evident when running an AutoChek or CarFax report on listed VIN's which is another issue in itself as I have also found a number of listings with either no VIN shown or an incorrect one. This clear title issue should also extend to the numerous wholesalers listing on eBay who in fact many times use the titles of vehicles they have purchased at auto auctions to secure financing from their lending institutions. While many of these wholesalers do state in their listings that title conveyance can take up to 30-days (which is a clear sign they do not actually own these titles free and clear) it can be misleading to actually state clear title in their listings.

You all have helped me out tremendously in the past with your knowledge.. Quick question.. Repainting my TR-6 British Racing Green since the guy that painted it last time did a lousy job... What is the absolute best two stage base coat/ clear coat that you can buy? I have gotten pretty good with the gun, and I even have a decent makeshift booth. Painted a few bikes, and my Miata with great results using Nason, but I am looking for the best for this one... Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Is there a way to actually see which vehicles are top sellers on ebay like what makes and models sell the most, Is there some where to get these kind of statistics? I had scheduled a car listing for tonight and in the title I wrote "Trades Considered" and Ebay canceled the listing. I'm not sure what the problem is with that since they get the same sale fee regardless of the price. Well at least Ebay pulled it BEFORE it started so I can fix it and relist.

Anyone play with a scammer?
I had responded to an ad on an RV classified site. The RV was within our price range with many of the features we were looking for. When I received a reply the bells and whistles went off when she mentioned the eBay "shipping center" for Rv's, and asked for some personal info. Now I am no spring chicken when it comes to the internet and knew immediately what was going on. SO the game has begun ..... I replied asking for more photos, got those, then I asked the engine type and transmission, then the model number ... each time she replied with the info I requested along with a request to commit immediately as she needs to get the eBay shipping form filled out (yeah right!) Gonna let her stew for a bit and then request some totally off the wall info and see what she says. I have already reported the ad as a scam to several sites where I found an identical ad and that had her email address listed. Just curious if anyone else has ever played with scammers? I had years ago, but this one really got my goat since we have been looking for a few months now for an RV and it got my hopes up of finally finding what we were looking for! Shy who has a bit of a in her at times!

Bad seller lurking on ebay motors
I recently won a 2006 suzuki katana on ebay motors. The seller assured 100% satisfaction. The bike was described as "road ready, fluids checked, recently serviced, and cosmetic flaws are pictured" Well the bike is not road ready it has broken turn signals and will not pass inspection until I PAY to fix it. This was not shown/visible in their "pictures". Fluids checked... I recieved the motorcycle with NO OIL or BREAK FLUID, and the small amount of gas it had was mud brown!! When I asked why I didnt get a response. The bike is said to have been recently serviced... The whole chain has rust on it.. the oil filter has caked on mud and grease on the outside of it and doesnt show any signs of being "recently serviced". The cosmetic flaws... now some were pictured yet the pictures look way better than the bike.. When I emailed them prior to auction end asking info they told me look at pictures. The bike appears to have been in several accidents with scrapes digs and scratches everywhere. I did not recieve my title or temporary tags for the bike (like they promised to). I finally recieve the title 33 days after the end of the auction. The title does not match the bike neither does the bill of sale. I will not be signing the bill of sale.. The bill of sale and title says its a black bike.. the bike is pink, it was advertised as pink sold as pink and arrived pink. The title and bill of sale also say its a 6sx750, it is a GSX750F Katana.. now I need to pay to fix a title they screwed up. If that is not bad enough they advertised the motorcycle in the auction as having a "clear title" Well.... They didnt even have a title for the vehicle until August 7th 2009. The auction ended July 13th 2009. I reported the issue I was having to ebays buyer protection what a joke more like SELLER PROTECTION. I told them I was unhappy with the condition of the bike and it was not as described, and at that point in time I still hadnt recieved a title. The seller(s) told me, my father, the conflict resolution guy they were going to give me a full refund and have the bike sent back to them, on the condition I changed my negative feedback about them to say good things. I agreed to fix my feedback for the refund cause hey $4500.00 is $4500.00. Well they agreed to this then "changed their mind" (Ebays buyer protection can't do anything about it cause "it isnt in writing") And the seller still expects me to change my feedback for a mere $800.00. I don't think so. I say they because the seller is listed as Robert Wilson, but his son Brandon Wilson is the one that seems to do all the negotiating. It is my hope that other buyers do not fall victim to their feedback rating of 97.3% (now 95.7% since they don't care about making the customer happy or keeping their word) because i beleive i am not the only buyer whom had an issue, and i think they pressured past unhappy customers to change the feedback to make them look good, in exchange for a "full refund" or a small pathetic bribe like what was offered to me. They would not answer my calls. They do not respond to emails, i do not have a paper trail at all on these guys. They prefer to "do their business over the phone (their phones arent even land lines all are cell phones) ". Do not fall victim to these sub-par sellers with "good feedback" They do not care about their customers and do not (or at least for me) did not accurately describe the item. They do not stand behind their sales or products and are only out to make themselves look good. And dont rely on ebay to bail you out their only looking out for number one as well. Ebay wont handle issues on ebay motors they pay an outside company (Auction Insurance Agency) to handle the problems. And pay pal forget it pay pal wont cover issues with Vehicles. So no one will help you, so if you decide to buy on ebay motors if you cant check it out in person dont do it, because you may end up like me with a deal thats "too good to be true". Ebay's auction insurace agency, also doesnt care about accuracey of descriptions on ebay motors, so apparently you could put up a picture of a brand new car and really sell a piece of crap because they do not care and wont help out the buyer (the photos posted and the actual condition of the vehicle isn't important to them). They bail out the seller to come to an "agreement" with the buyer because in their eyes helping out the buyer costs them too much money. i will NEVER buy from ebay motors again and i suggest you out there in ebay land NEVER BUY FROM "HAWGTOWNCYCLESGALORE" or purchase from sellers that go by the name of "Robert Wilson, or Brandon Wilson" Buyer Beware: Paypal doesnt offer buyer protection on vehicles. Ebay themselves do not deal with ebay motors issues. Auction Insurance Agency in my case was not out to help the buyer they were out to do whatever is "cheaper" for them. Read what is covered by the "Vehicle Protection Program" they claim body is protected yet the paint *which i always thought was part of the body, according to them it isnt*.

Anyone wanna play? I have this photo, I estimate dates to 1908-1912 roughly. I think the touring car looks similar to a 1909-1910 Ford Model T but it does not quite match sample images I have found so far. Fenders and headlights seem a little off and the hoods did not have louvers. The running board tank and circle panel between doors seems unique also. Though I know that some of this can vary on model lines.

I just wasted an hour and a half of My morning searching to no avail. Who's job is it to work these bugs out? After 6 Mo's they still have no clue as to what peeps are here for? So they load the search function up with their fancy Java, only to give incomplete results, slower page loads, with crappy filtering. When are We going to get an ADEQUATE search system? The old system was fast, easy, and accurate. The New system is slow, gives very poor filtering capabilities, and the most frustrating of all, it resets Your search box when switching thru any of the ridiculess java functions. I'm totally fed up with this crappy rework! Someone needs to be FIRED!!!!

Last night I made a bid on a vehicle offered by Northpoint Toyota in Arkansas. 15 minutes after bid was made I received an email directly to my home email, addressing me by name, not through the ebay messaging system from this dealer. I then received a phone call from the same dealer. Think about this! I made a bid under my member name and yet this Dealer got my name address and phone number from EBAY. Think EBAY might have a problem here if this software the dealer used gets put into place. I have placed a complaint with EBAY regarding this but we all know how that does not work.

First grandchildren, twin boys, born Monday evening, taken by cesarean four weeks early due to complications with one of the boys. Healthy one James weighed in at 5.5 lbs, and he and mother came home tonight. Joseph, 5 lbs, has VATER syndrome, with multiple problems, primarily with lungs and, more seriously, with his kidneys. Doctors said a few weeks ago that he wouldn't live but a few hours; now there is hope that wasn't there even right after birth. I know some of you already know about it, and have been praying for him; please continue to do so. It means a lot to us to know people are asking the Lord for healing for this little guy. Beautiful boys, by the way. And I'm not just saying it 'cause I'm their Granddaddy. I'd say it if they were your grandsons too!

I was given a car cover for a Mercedes-Benz and the only thing I could find that might be a tell is CMB66055NH. There is also a stencil print inside the cover with CMB66055 and 02/00/0 under it. Does anyone know what model and year this may belong to? I have seen one car cover on eBay motors with CMB-66003 and that belong to C350. This is OEM. It comes from Mercedes-Benz. This is not some aftermarket car cover. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Shipping a car
Hi, I sold my first car on ebay a few weeks ago. The car is not running and the person that bought it is having a hard time finding someone to ship it without it being able to drive up a ramp. I live in Central California and it needs to go to New York. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get it shipped? It is all paid for and he has all the paperwork. Any help would be appreciated. Buicks and fords
1st thanks to Judi for posting the 4th of july pictures. I replaced the master cyl on the 64 buick wagon and got a pedal, low but a pedal. My daughter came to pick her baby up after leaving the little one with us last night and she said she had lost her power steering and the alt. light came on. Went to chech it and the bracket that holds the alt and power steering was broken in 4 places , it a good sized piece of metal. any one have one out there have one ? Its a 91 ford mustang with the 4 cyl. Thanks Bruce.

A West Valley School District official warned teacher Sue Graham in a letter that similar behavior in the future will result in disciplinary action, including termination. more education! The boy's father had said his son arrived home in April with the plastic bag of feces and a note that read "This little turd was found on the floor in my room." Hello, I'm trying to find out if any body knows if a mustang '95 engine, 5.0, will fit into a newer model, like a '97 or '98. As you may know, ford stopped making mustang 5.0 engines in '95 and the newer models are 4.6. If any body knows anything about this, please let me know asap! I am looking at buying a car, but the seller moved out of the country blah blah blah. And said that the car is in custody of the ebay motors shipping company and that if I want, they will ship the car to me, and I have 5 days to figure out if I want it. If I dont, then they will pick it up and I dont have to pay anything. Is that true? Or does that sound fishy?

It's no secret -- especially in a celebrity town like L.A. -- some doctors use pseudonyms for celebrity patients and sometimes their medical charts somehow get "lost." But we've learned most doctors leave an indelible footprint when it comes to treating patients. Many doctors -- especially ones with big practices -- use medical software systems from MD Systems, NexTech and other companies. These companies provide the software that makes it easy to input billing data. Doctors typically input the patient's name, billing amount, type of treatment, type of drugs prescribed and administered, and date of service. Here's the thing -- that data cannot be deleted from the server. The system allows doctors to add other data like medical charts, and those things can be deleted. But if someone deletes that info, the software shows the name of the user who did it and the date it was done. Bottom line -- the basic billing information will not go away. As we reported days ago, law enforcement found Propofol inside Jackson's house. Propofol is an anesthesia, which should never be administered outside a hospital, and it's looking like that drug killed Jackson. If cops find who supplied it and who administered it, the docs could well be prosecuted for manslaughter.

Sorry I did not reply back when I said I would last time I posted. I went to AutoZone and told them to test anything they could do for free. They tweaked whatever they could on top of the car under the hood and which improved the acceleration and now it only dies when you are at a stop and have the AC turned on. With the AC on it will also die in reverse. If I don't have the AC turned on during those times it won't die. Once you get going it runs fine with the AC. I have learned to turn the AC off when I stop or in reverse. So does that give you an idea of what could be wrong with the car? I heard that someone could do like a 150 point inspection. Would you recommend I have that done? Trying to sell the car and if it sells great if not this will be a nice project car in the future I suppose. Are you

I didn't find it on eBay and didn't know it was ever even listed on eBay prior to this reply and was seriously considering purchasing it. I thought the motorhome was in the Austin TX area not far from where I live and when I asked the lady for directions to go see it, I find out it is in Florida and she wants payment to be made through eBay. They promissed they will buy the vehicle from me but they proved not to have the money to pay for it . The financial part of our transaction is going through eBay's Purchase Protection Program and here are the steps: - I need your full name, shipping address and phone# - I will forward this information to eBay's purchase protection department and they will start our transaction - eBay sends you the invoice with payment details for our transaction - payment must be sent through Bank Wire Transfer to an eBay Purchase Protection bank account managed by one of their transaction officers ( PayPal can't be used because it only covers $ 2000 ). - after they secure the payment in their account, they will notify me and I will start shipping. Shipping will take no more than 5 days ( 2 days to prepare the shipping and 3 days for the shipping depending on your location). - after you receive the vehicle you will have another 5 days to inspect it. - when the inspection period ends, eBay contacts you and if there are any issues with the vehicle, they will fully refund you within 3 business days and the vehicle will be shipped back at my expense. I listed some wheels last night and already I have 4 people asking about my "advert" and if I still have my "item" for sale and that they will be paying with bank certified check, and not to worry about shipping as they will be sending their agent to pickup the item. Sheesh!

Collector cars and parts of the week?
Found a guy up the road here who claims to have an engine and drivetrain for a Henry J, an "old" caddy hood and grille. I may check into this stuff. Way back in the boonies of PA (I'm talking piped in sunshine) sunday I found this old service garage with a 1946? GM sedan, the newest car was about 1954, and the place looked as if they had locked the doors and walked away 50 years ago. I had a Boxer dog I had just adopted minutes before, so I did not get out of the truck to check it out. Definitly looked like something old was inside, just could not take two minutes to check. There's still old iron out there.

Cool Feature On Google Maps
My wife just showed me that on GoogleMaps.com some of the search results show a "Street View" of the address. I guess they had hired people to drive and video the actual physical adress, and are uploading it onto their maps. If the adress you search can be seen, the menu box on the map will say "Street View", just click on that and you can "drive" down that street and see the buildings, homes, etc. Of course, this might have been out there for a while, but I just found out about it today. Pretty cool! Now maybe you won't even have to go and inspect a car your interested in, hopefully it will be sitting on the front lawn with a for sale sign and you can check it out from home! . . . Still Spinning at 33 1/3 RPM in an MP3 WORLD!

Recently I listed 9 die cast/plastic models for sale...thought all was well....then I see one of them was over, thought someone hit BIN...Nope,seems ebay cancelled it...reason stated in their email was..."cant use the words,"like new" in the description....we are talking a model for goodness sakes,dont really see the big deal...anyway,seems petty,so they credited me,and I relisted it, and dropped the 2 words....but as I advised them they could have just sent me an email ,and asked me to drop the 2 words,but,heh, its ebay,no reason to think common sense would work.....and I assume the "bots" picked up the verbage,am I right on that Doc?...

How to give a speech at a Wedding Committment Ceremony
A little bit of forward planning will make your speech easier to give than you think. Some people make it look easy but they have usually thought about their speech and planned it out.
My best guide is to make it short and sweet. 3 minutes if you really want a time limit. Unless you are a really good speaker and have a great speech then keep it really short, funny and inspiring and the guests will love you.
In general - Think Past, Present and Future and in 3 short minutes you will have made a great speech.
- The Past. If you have a short funny story about their younger days tell it. You can embarrass them (but not too much)
- Thank them for the joy they have brought into your life and marvel at their ability to make it this far
- The Present. Tell them how special they are
- Thank your guests for coming and of course the presents, and
- The Future. Say what you want the future to hold for the lucky couple, and
- Raise your glasses to toast.
You probably know all the other tips like
- rehearse your speech,
- write it down if you want but try not to just read it out,
- look at your audience,
- if you leave something out or make a mistake just keep going. Chances are the guests have had a few drinks by this stage and after all they are friends and family here. They aren't here to criticise your speech. They are here to celebrate the coming together of two very special people.
