How to spot a fake Juicy Couture bag on okay?
First of all, I was almost a victim of buying a fake Juicy bag.
Fortunately, okay banned the seller before I mailed the check (Tip #1
never buy/bid from sellers who only accept checks or money orders). It
saddens me to see people paying more than $400 hard earned dollars for
a fake bag that costs less than $10.00 to make. That's why I put
together this web site to educate people.
General ways to tell something is fishy about the bags that
you are looking at (later of this section will show you how to spot a
fake for a specific style):
If the seller shows only stock photos or pictures seem to be geing from different sources. Be very cautious.
Only leather bags gee with dust bags. If the seller offers
one when selling non-leather products (such as Fluffy or DayDreamer),
be cautious because counterfeiters also make fake dust bags, wrapper
paper and tags.
If you see a newer style Juicy bag that gees with a shield
shape price tag (see below for a sample picture) or the tags are
attached by string instead of plastic loop. *Update: now fake bags gee
with plastic tag loops as well.
Juicy bags do NOT gee with clear plastic wraps around the bag handles. Tissue paper are okay, but never clear plastic wraps.
Cheap fake bags are made of low quality leather or most often
synthetic leather, even plastic. Most of them look shinny and plasticky.
Most fake bags will wrap around the edges to make the material look thicker and heavy.
Fake bags seller will often use multiple accounts to push up the bidding price (shilling) and boost their positive feedbacks.
Be cautious if the item is located oversea or if the sellers will drop shipped the item.
Be careful that if the sellers only accept checks or money orders.
High shipping charges. Because even if you return the fake bags to get
the refund, they still make a profit from the shipping and they can
turn around and re-sell your returned item. That's actually better for
them than you keeping the fake bag. Serial numbers cannot be trusted. Even fake bags have serial numbers.
How to spot a fake Baby Fluffy Bags:
Recently, lots of fake Juicy Baby Fluffy bags are being sold on
okay. Although the counterfeits are getting better in terms of quality,
there are still ways to tell if you are getting a fake one. The one the left is a fake. The fake one uses the wrong metal chain and
the leathers are in pink instead of purple. The pompom in the real one
is made with darker shade of purple. Many guides tell you to gepare the shape of the 'J' mirror, but this
is no longer a reliable way spot a fake bag. As you can see from the
pictures above that the quality on the fake bag is getting better. A
better way to identify a fake bag is the color of the material inside
the bag. All real Juicy Fluffy bags use the matching color inside the
bag. In other words, a purple Fluffy will have purple interior, and a
green Fluffy will have green interior (more pictures below). Again, the
real one Purple Fluffy uses silver color hardware instead of gold tone. These pictures illustrate how difficult to tell which one is real by
just looking at the heart shape 'J' mirror. The fake one on the left
has well defined 'J' but if you gepare the interior color, you will
notice the real Pink Fluffy should have pink interior, and the 'Hello'
pocket should be silver, which matches the silver chain outside,
instead of gold.Another very good way is looking at the leather strip that attaches the
mirror. So far, all the real Juicy bags that we looked at have the
letters pressed into the leather instead of printing on. If possible,
ask the seller to give you a picture of the reverse of the the strip,
you should be able to see the marking of the letters. Can you tell which one is a fake? Even we had a hard time telling
without looking at the real Juicy Fluffy. So if you find a seller on
okay with just one photo or with stock photo only (this is the worst),
be very careful, and ask detail pictures of what's inside the bag. To
protect yourself, make sure the seller agrees that the picture is the
actual bag the you are getting and will refund 100% (hopefully with
shipping) if the pictures are different from what you receive. Also,
save all your emails from the seller, you will need those in case you
need help from okay to get you the refund.
