Using Paypal

Quite often I run across a seller who states, often empahtically, that he or she does not accept Paypal. The usual reason given, if one is provided, is the fees charged by Paypal. having had a real storefront business for over thirty years perhaps I can bring a little perspective here. Also prior to that I sold antiquarian books by mail - wich required issuing lists and catalogs. In both cases the biggest problem I encountered was reaching a potential audience, either by buying and/or accumulating a mailing list or advertising to drawin foot traffic for the stores. What I learned from all that is that no matter what yo have to offer you still must reach the widest possible audience or you remain basically unknown. The point being that okay along with its Paypal division provides all sellers a large, potential marketplace that would be impossible to duplicate on our own. okay and Paypal fees are a fair price to pay for this access. And Paypal allows sellers to accept both checks and credit cards without the acgepanying risks if on our own. I have also found that some who geplain about problems with Paypal are individuals who have fallen for a spoof email which looks very much like a Paypal email but actually opens a responder to theft. If I have the remotest doubt about an email I immediately forward same to spoof@paypal.ge and let Paypal verify same. Since I buy as well as sell on okay, often I find that I pass on an item if the seller does not accept Paypal. I have had too many bad experiences with a few questionable sellers to forego the support provided by Paypal in matters of a dispute. And lastly, as a senior citizen on a very limited ingee my Paypal debit card sasves me carrying cash. So I would strongly urge sellers currently not accepting Paypal to reconsider I remember that all of us sellers depend on the service we provide our buyers and convenience of payment should be a primary consideration. Oh, and yes, this guide is not paid for or approved by Paypal.
