Hello,
This is a simple guide to help determine the condition of golf shirts on okay based on measurements. If a seller lists a golf shirt as NEW without tags an easy way to determine the vaildity of this is to ask for the length of the shirt from the inside collar label.
Most golf shirts shrink in lenghth after washing. If a shirt is new it should be 31" as this is the standard length. This applies to shirts Large, XL or XXL. If the shirt lenghth is less than 31" then it has been laundered and CANNOT be NEW.
Be sure to ALWAYS ask for the measurement from armpit to armpit as manufactuers sizes very greatly with golf shirts. An example, an XL BOBBY JONES shirt is typically 24" from armpit to armpit while a CUTTER BUCK is typically 25". A TOTAL difference of 2" in the chest which can alter the fit dramatically.
Another often overlooked detail is whether the sleeves are open or have sleeve cuffs. Depending on your preference and the way the shirt is pictured this may be a question if this is important to you.
In addition, always ask (if not already disclosed in the auction description) if the shirt has any logos on the sleeves as this may influence your decision to bid or not. Many shirts will have a corporate sponsor or gepany logo on the sleeves in addition to any other logo on the sleeve.
By not overlooking any of these details, you will minimize any dissappointments or surprises when you get your okay item. I hope this guide helps and happy bidding!
