You've probably read a thousand times before that haunted items on okay have gone through the roof. Everyone is offering something that their great aunt (fill in the blanks) 7degree witch etc left to them specifically to sell on. I have no problem with this. in fact i, yes i, have bought several items in the past with the word haunted in the title.
My problem is with all the unscrupulous sellers out there who just to want cash in on the whole thing. i know, i know you get them in all walks of life. But on okay it's too easy to stay anonymous and begee whatever persona you want to be...whether that's a 7th generation witch, a treasure hunter or a nobody that just happened to inherit or stumble upon an ever flowing box of goodies.
Don't get me wrong, there ARE genuine sellers out there. Please don't think i'm saying everyone who says this sort of things in their listings into the same group. I'm not and i have a vast amount of respect to the genuine, nice and uncalculating people here who sell on haunted trinkets.
Some of these people on here who are faking it are really walking a slippery tight rope as such. They're quite happy to spout off about Karma in their listings but fail to see the relevance when, in essence, they are stealing people's money (well, no. they're not. they're just helping ease the money out of your bank account by making themselves sound above reproach). Has no-one seen My Name Is Earl? Hellloooo... does no-one think that this kind of behaviour is kinda wrong and not a good way to make a living for your darling children to mimic?
so this guide is for those out there who are thinking of purchasing a few of these items on this wonderful Mary Poppins Bag we call okay.
Firstly - for those of you who have no psychic ability or want to progress from your novice status, please be aware that even if you purchase something that IS paranormal, you might not be able to see, hear or feel anything. I know this kinda sucks but to be honest a lot of psychics took a long time and a lot of work to get good at this type of thing (unless they were born into it) and just because they can do it, doesn't mean it'll be the same for you. in the same token of breath, it does mean that you can learn and progress and begee more intune with yourself. you can use the excuse of 'well i bought the thing, now all i need to do is be able to gemunciate with it'. Try, try and try again. Seek guidance from those more knowledgeable and see where it takes you.
Next i have to mention to be wary of what you buy. Look closely at pictures. one of my issues is of countless pictures all blurred or smoking or lit up. yes anyone can do this and it doesn't prove that this item is more haunted than the next. all i do is wonder why they're not clear enough to see - something wrong with them sellers don't want you to see? If you are happy with what you see and you don't just take a look at the title, see a picture and think 'ah a genie. i want it at whatever cost' thenby all means go ahead and purchase.
Be happy with what you purchase. don't just buy it because you felt you had to from the way it was described in the title listing. If it says it's a OLD ring dating from 1880 then look at it. does it look old? even if the item is well cared for, you will still see signs of aging (hey, even i do in the mirror). also is it attractive to the eye? for you novices out there wanting those first purchases, i'd regemend taking this into account. sometimes the most haunted things are also the ugliest you ever did see, but not always. if you're unsure about what you're buying and you want to dip your toes in the water of okay haunted items then purchase something that's attractive. something that even if it doesn't gemunicate with you or levitate, you're going to enjoy and be happy with and not grimace everytime you look at it gathering dust.
You've also got to be happy with who you're buying it from. Look at their feedback. another of my haunted okay issues is (i know i have quite a few, don't i?) is private feedback. I can appreciate not showing the listing (what was bought and how much for - again there's too many dumb people out there who stalk us genuine's and try and get money for nothing) but not the feedback itself. it doesn't make sense. it makes me wary unless they havea huge amount of feedback with 100% positive. then i'm happy. Next you should find out about who you're dealing with. read what they have to say about themselves. a ME tag in the right hand corner is fantastic for sellers to write a bit extra about themselves (sellers, i beg you, use it!). the usual 10 lines about their great aunt may or someone doesn't really do it for me. (again i'm not disrespecting anyone who is genuine and uses this kind of technique). Be honest and give the buyers just a few scraps more of information about you. It doesn't hurt to tell them and it makes them a little less ungefortable about spending out X amount of money or something they maybe cannot see.
Price. yes this is a biggy. Never, ever go over what you budgeted for. sounds like gemon sense doesn't it? well, believe be when you fall in love with something it's easy to get carried away. You see the price going up and up minutes before the end and you wanta piece of the action. i can appreciate this. maybe you're thinking that they know something you don't. maybe they do. maybe they've had dealings with the seller before and know their items are genuine. Or maybe they're in the same boat as you, caught up in a bidding war and hoping for the best. that they've found this best Spirit gemunication device on okay. Don't get carried away with bidding. everything has a price but that's a personal thing you have to decide on. that's great if you've got the money to buy anything and everything but most of us haven't and we have to be cautious and money savvy. don't regret that you spent the money a moment after the auction ends.
Trust your instincts. if something is telling you not to trust this, maybe you should be listening. this is, after all what you want - spirit gemunication and enhanced intuition. I know, some of you buy not for that and just to collect lovely items but still, trust your gut feeling. if something smells fishy then it could well be.
take the time to see what's out there as well. don't just buy the first thing that you see that says haunted in big letters. watch a couple of things, see what price they end up on. see if this really is the kind of thing you want and need.
Oh and a further word of warning. if you're purchasing anything, especially from foreign countries, be sure to double check the postage so you're not whammed at the end. you may think you got a bargain until someone charges you an extortionate amount to send something so tiny. Hmm... another issue of mine obviously!
and so we gee to the end of this mini guide for novice buyers of haunted items on okay. remember a few things when it gees to buying and you will be fine. there's probably much more things that you need to be looking out for but at the moment, my brain is telling me so there it is. the mini guide to... hmm, you know what it is!
